Twenty-fifth Sunday after Pentecost

Militia Immaculatae Conference: Fr. Karl Stehlin will give a conference on the Militia Immaculatae, Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 6:30 PM. All are invited to attend.

Holy Hour for Mothers: All mothers and grandmothers of the parish are invited to assist at a Holy Hour which will be offered especially for the good of the children of our parish. Our main intentions will be for many holy religious vocations, for the future spouses of our children, and for their purity. The Holy Hour will take place on the third Friday of each month from 10:00-11:00 AM, beginning this month on November 19th. Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, November 23rd at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will continue his talks on Womanhood, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.

Our Lady of Sorrows Academy’s 12th Annual Jog-A-Thon will be held on Wednesday, November 24th. Please consider sponsoring one of our Priests or Brothers with a per-lap pledge or a one-time donation. All Souls Indulgences: The Vatican Apostolic Penitentiary has issued a decree extending the Plenary Indulgences for the deceased faithful for the entire month of November, specifically:

  • The Plenary Indulgence for those who visit a cemetery and pray for the deceased, normally from November 1 to 8, may be obtained any days during the month of November.
  • The Plenary Indulgence of November 2 for those who visit a church or oratory and recite the "Our Father" and "Creed" may be transferred to any day of the month of November.

Christmas Boutique: The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Christmas boutique on November 28th and December 5th. Proceeds benefit parishioners/families in need. We are asking for donations of Christmas crafts and gifts to sell. All donations can be turned in to the church office. Please contact Jamie McQuillin (480-330-3057) to help.

Christmas Giving Tree will be on display during the Christmas Boutique. The ornaments on this tree will list specific items needed by our parishioners, particularly at Christmas. If you or someone you know could benefit from the Christmas Giving Tree, contact Fr. Pons or Monique at the church office (602-268-7673 x1). Requests will remain confidential.

Advent Recollection: All parishioners are invited to a morning Recollection on Saturday, December 4th. There will be conferences, confessions, consultations, and rosary.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception: Wednesday, December 8th, we will have Total Consecration to Mary according to the method of St. Louis de Montfort and Militia Immaculatae.

Lost and Found: If you have left in the church or lost an item, please check the lost and found bins in Boyle Hall. Anything not claimed by the First Sunday of Advent will be donated or discarded.

Sunday Brunch for the Priory: Thank you to all those who have been preparing Sunday brunch for the Priory! Please come to Boyle Hall to collect your dishes/containers.

Second Collection schedule: November 21st to benefit the Building Fund. November 28th to benefit the Academy. Thank you for your generosity.
