Second Sunday of Lent
Matrimony Retreat starts Wednesday. Please keep silence on the retreat grounds this week. Please keep the retreatants in your prayers.
Cavaliers Baseball: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s home games this week: Monday, March 6th at 4:30 PM and Friday, March 10th at 6:30 PM.
Stations of the Cross will be at 6:00 PM on Friday during Lent.
Men’s Bonfire: Men and boys of all ages are invited to a bonfire this Saturday, March 11th at 6:30 PM on the Academy Field. Come for a night of fun, games and s’mores.
Second Collection schedule: March 12th to benefit the Building Fund. March 19th to benefit the Consoling Sisters’ Foundation. Thank you for your generosity.
Academy Auction: This year’s silent auction will be held Sunday, March 19th on the church grounds from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We invite you to come socialize with other parishioners, bid on some fabulous items, enjoy light refreshments, and support our parish school.
Confirmations: Bishop Tissier de Mallerais will administer Confirmation here at Our Lady of Sorrows on Friday, May 19, 2023. The ceremony will be in the evening. Specific details will be provided in the coming months. Any adult needing to be confirmed should contact Fr. Pons as soon as possible.
Easter Duty Reminder: All baptized Catholics of age are obliged to receive Holy Communion worthily at least once during Easter time, which runs from the First Sunday of Lent to Trinity Sunday.
Raffle for Altar Servers: The Holy Name Society would like to thank all who purchased tickets or donated to the raffle. Because of your generosity, we raised over $4,500, all of which will be used to purchase new cassocks and surplices for our altar boys. May God reward you!
