Second Collection schedule: A special collection for SSPX vocations will be taken on Good Shepherd Sunday, May 4th.
May Crowning Sunday, May 4th at the 10:00 AM Mass. Flowers for Our Lady’s statue will be handed out before the procession. You are also welcome to bring your own flowers. Everyone is encouraged to bring flowers to Our Lady’s statue throughout the month of May.
Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, April 29th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
All Day Adoration on Friday, May 2nd begins after 8:30 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, May 3rd after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will gather in the front pews of Church for the First Saturday meditation and our prayers for the book intentions, then will go to Boyle Hall for our meeting and refreshments.
Archery Banquet: To show our gratitude for the wonderful support received from the parish, the OLOS Archery Club will hold an end of year banquet on Saturday, May 3rd. All parishioners are invited to a potluck dinner beginning at 5:30 PM in Boyle Hall. We will also have displays of our archery equipment and awards from the season.
Mother’s Day Mass Intentions: Donation envelopes are available in the vestibule and may be turned into the church office, bookstore, or placed in the collection basket. All intentions will be remembered in the Masses on Mother’s Day, May 11th.
Academy Play: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s performance of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Shows will be Saturday, May 10th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, May 11th at 2:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.
Floriani Concert: The Choristers of St. Florian, a children’s choir directed by Floriani, will present a Marian Oratorio “Hymn to The Virgin” on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 PM in the church. All are invited.
Alumni Baseball: Cavaliers baseball will be hosting their Second Annual Alumni Game, Tuesday, May 20th at 6:00 PM. Contact Coach Violette ([email protected] or 386-697-3704) for more information, to see if you qualify as an alumnus, and to register to play in the game.
The First Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Michael Wilson of Chandler, AZ, formerly of St. Isidore’s, Denver, CO and Miss Bridget Hable of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of St. Joseph Shrine, Detroit, MI, who plan to be married on May 24, 2025. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
