Fourth Sunday after Easter

Announcements

Holy Name Society meeting Wednesday, May 1st at 6:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. McFarland will give a conference, with discussion and refreshments following.  All men of the parish are encouraged to attend.

All Day Adoration on Friday, May 3rd begins after 8:30 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?”  First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.

The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, May 4th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will meet in the Retreat Chapel to pray the Seven Sorrows devotions and prayers for the book intentions, followed by our meeting and refreshments in Boyle Hall.

The Third Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Andrew Dvorak of Minneapolis, MN and Miss Natalie Riccomini, formerly of Phoenix, AZ, who plan to be married on May 4, 2024, in St. Marys, KS. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.

Mass Schedule Change: On Sunday, May 5th we will have only two Masses (at 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM) to honor Our Lady with the May crowning and an outdoor procession.

May Crowning Sunday, May 5th at the 10:00 AM Mass. Flowers for Our Lady’s statue will be handed out before the procession. You are also welcome to bring your own flowers. Everyone is encouraged to bring flowers to Our Lady’s statue throughout the month of May.

Mother’s Day Mass Intentions:  Donation envelopes are available in the vestibule and may be turned into the church office, bookstore, or placed in the collection basket.  All intentions will be remembered in the Masses on Mother’s Day, May 12th.

Academy Play: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s performance of A Murder Is Announced. Shows will be Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th in the Performing Arts Center. Admission is free.

Alumni Baseball: Cavaliers baseball will be hosting the First Annual Alumni Game, Tuesday, May 14th at 6:00 PM. Contact Coach Violette ([email protected]) for more information, to see if you qualify as an alumni, and to register to play in the game.

Mass Schedule Change: On Sunday, May 19th we will have only two Masses (at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM) due to First Holy Communion.

First Holy Communion will take place during the 9:00 AM Mass on May 19th. All communicants and their families are invited to a reception in Boyle Hall immediately following the Mass.

Mexico Pilgrimage: Registration brochures for the October 7-14, 2024 pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Cristero Saints from Mexico City to Guadalajara, Mexico are in the vestibule. Fr. Pons will celebrate Mass and give spiritual talks daily. Enjoy SSPX fellowship and local culture while touring and praying in historical churches or at apparition and Cristero sites, learn church history from our special guest Mr. Alexander Becker, and more! Easter Duty Reminder: All baptized Catholics of age are obliged to receive Holy Communion worthily at least once during Easter time, which runs from the First Sunday of Lent to Trinity Sunday (May 26th).
