Ninth Sunday after Pentecost
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Christopher Schermann, who died on August 2nd.The funeral will be on Tuesday, August 12th at Our Lady of Sorrows. Visitation in the church from 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM, rosary at 9:45 AM, Requiem Mass at 10:30 AM, followed by burial at St. Francis Cemetery.
The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Friday, August 15th is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass times will be 7:30 AM, 8:30 AM (Sung Mass) and 6:30 PM. Vespers will be at 6:00 PM.
Second Collection schedule: August 17th for the Consoling Sisters Foundation. Thank you for your generosity.
Summer Movie: The final movie of the summer will be “Ben-Hur,” starring Charlton Heston, on Saturday, August 16th at 5:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Please note this is a three-hour movie, so there will be an intermission. Donations and snack/drink purchases will support our seminarians. Thank you!
Altar Flowers Donations: Donation envelopes for purchasing the flowers on the altar can be found in the vestibule. Each envelope is for one week, and lists the Feasts celebrated during that week. You may contribute any or all amount of the flower cost for that week. If interested, please take one envelope and return it to either the Sunday collection basket or to the church office. We are grateful for your generosity.
Sunday Brunch for the Priory: Volunteers are needed to prepare Sunday Brunch for the Priory. Please show your appreciation to our Priests and Religious by cooking one meal for them! Preparatory Novena for the Jubilee of the Holy Year: To prepare spiritually for the Jubilee of Rome, the SSPX is launching a novena to be recited from August 11th to 19th. All faithful are invited to join in this spiritual preparation. Copies of the novena are available in the vestibule.
