Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, August 20th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
Back to School Meeting Friday, August 23rd at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. This meeting is mandatory for all school parents.
Third Order of St. Francis monthly meeting will take place Saturday, August 24th in Boyle Hall. The meeting for all members will begin immediately following the 7:30 AM Mass, followed by the Clothing Ceremony at 9:30 AM in the church. All are invited to attend.
Bookstore Lay-Away Items: Please come to the bookstore to settle all lay-aways. Any unsettled lay-away will be returned to the shelves on September 8, 2024. Thank you for your understanding.
Catechism Registration: Catechism classes will begin Sunday, September 8, 2024 for all children not enrolled in Our Lady of Sorrows Academy. Registration information will be available next week.
The Third Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Nicholas Mancuso of Queen Creek, AZ, and Miss Anastasiya Kopczak of Queen Creek, AZ, who plan to be married at Our Lady of Sorrows on August 24, 2024. Any persons knowing of an impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
Poor & Needy Fund: This year to date, the church has helped parishioners in need with almost $40,000. Donations to the poor fund totaled only $8,000, so the remainder came out of church funds meant for operating expenses. We cannot continue to assist those in need at the expense of paying our own bills. Therefore, your continued generosity to the poor & needy fund is much needed and greatly appreciated!
