Catechism Registration continues today after all Masses. Please visit the table in Boyle Hall for information and to register your children. Catechism classes are scheduled to begin Sunday, September 12th.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Dolores Fiacco, who died on August 21st. The funeral will be Monday, August 30th here at Our Lady of Sorrows. Visitation in the church at 9:30 AM, rosary at 10:00 AM, followed by a Requiem Mass at 10:30 AM. A lunch reception will be held in Boyle Hall following the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
Holy Name Society meeting Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. McFarland will give a conference, with discussion and refreshments following. All men interested in learning more about the Holy Name Society are encouraged to attend.
All Day Adoration on Friday, September 3rd begins after 8:30 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, September 4th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will meet in the Retreat Chapel to pray the Seven Sorrows devotions and prayers for the book intentions, followed by our meeting and refreshments in Boyle Hall.
