Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost
Catechism Registration: Catechism classes will begin on Sunday, September 7, 2025, for all children not enrolled in Our Lady of Sorrows Academy. All students (new and returning) must complete and turn in a registration. Please visit the tables outside of church after the Masses today for more information and to register.
Feast of St. Pius X, Wednesday, September 3rd 11:00 AM Mass will be a Solemn High Mass, and a first Mass of Fr. Mayol, OSB, newly ordained SSPX priest. Fr. Mayol will give first blessings after Mass. There will also be Vespers and Benediction at 5:30 PM.
Holy Name Society meeting Wednesday, September 3rd at 6:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. McFarland will give a conference, with discussion and refreshments following. All men of the parish are encouraged to attend.
All Day Adoration on Friday, September 5th begins after the 11:10 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, September 6th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will gather in the front pews of Church for the First Saturday meditation and our prayers for the book intentions, then will go to Boyle Hall for our meeting and refreshments.
Parish Celebration: In honor of the 10th Anniversary of the Church Consecration and for the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, we will have a parish celebration on Sunday, September 14th beginning with Vespers at 5:30 PM in the church, followed by food and socializing in Boyle Hall. The Third Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Patrick Tomaszycki, formerly of OLOS, and Miss Chloe Bild of Holland, Michigan, who plan to be married at Saint Margaret Mary Church in MI on September 27, 2025. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
The Second Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Joshua McQuillin of Phoenix, AZ, and Miss Melanie Marden of Powers Lake, ND, who plan to be married at St. Michael’s Church in ND on September 20, 2025.
