Third Sunday of Advent
Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, December 17th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
Holy Hour for Mothers: Please join us on Friday, December 20th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the church as we spend one hour with Our Lord praying for parish vocations and the intentions of our families. All mothers are welcome!
Ember Days: Traditional days of fast and partial abstinence are Wednesday and Friday (complete abstinence), December 18th and 20th. This observance was originally instituted to encourage the faithful to pray and do penance for new priests. Please offer your prayers and sacrifices on these days that God may inspire more men to offer themselves for this holy ministry and for the perseverance of those already ordained.
Thank you to all who donated items and supported the Christmas Boutique and Giving Tree to help those of the parish in need. Through your generosity, we were able to fulfill the needs of nine families and raise $6,400 for the Poor & Needy fund.
Christmas Giving Tree: Please turn in all purchased giving tree items to the church office (WRAPPED, with the ornament attached) by December 16th. Please include a gift receipt, if appropriate. Thank you for your generosity!
Academy Christmas performance is Thursday, December 19th at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. All parishioners are invited to attend.
Bookstore Sale: All children’s items are 25% off this week only.
Christmas Decorating: Decorating the church for Christmas will take place Sunday, December 22nd from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, followed by Vespers in the Church. Dinner will be provided at 5:30 PM in Boyle Hall. Please join us for this family-friendly event and bring a dessert or drink to share. Many hands make light (and enjoyable!) work.
Christmas Novena of Masses: Christmas cards with the gift of a novena of Masses are available in the vestibule. Donations will benefit the building fund and may be turned into the church office, bookstore or placed in the collection basket. The novena of Masses will begin with the Christmas Midnight Mass.
