Fourth Sunday of Advent
Christmas Decorating: Decorating the church for Christmas will take place today from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, followed by Vespers in the Church. Dinner will be provided at 5:30 PM in Boyle Hall. Please join us for this family-friendly event, and bring a dessert or drink to share. Many hands make light (and enjoyable!) work.
Benediction on Thursday, December 22nd will be at 6:00 PM. Confessions will start at 5:30 PM.
Academy Christmas performance and awards night is Thursday, December 22nd at 7:00 PM, in the Performing Arts Center. All parishioners are invited to attend.
Raffle for Altar Servers: The Holy Name Society is selling raffle tickets to purchase new cassocks and surplices for our altar boys. Tickets are $20; only 250 tickets will be sold. Grand prize is $1,000, second place prize is $250. The drawing will be held on the Feast of the Holy Family, Sunday, January 8, 2023.
Christmas Novena of Masses: Christmas cards with the gift of a novena of Masses are in the vestibule. Donations will benefit the building fund and may be turned into the church office, bookstore, or placed in the collection basket. The novena of Masses will begin with the Christmas Midnight Mass.
Thank you to all who donated items and supported the Christmas Boutique and Giving Tree to help those of the parish in need. Through your generosity, we were able to fulfill the needs of ten families and raise $3,200 for the Poor & Needy fund.
OLOS Volleyball Tournament: Our Lady of Sorrows is hosting its 2nd Annual Volleyball Tournament on February 25, 2023, with both a Men’s and Women’s Division. Players must be at least 14.
