Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Christmas Boutique, Raffle and Bake Sale today. Please visit the tables outside church to purchase Advent and Christmas items, as well as 50/50 raffle tickets. All proceeds benefit families/parishioners in need.
Christmas Giving Tree Instructions. Choose an ornament from the tree, purchase the item, and deliver it to the church office (wrapped, with the ornament attached) by December 16, 2024. Please include a gift receipt, if appropriate. Thank you for your generosity!
Academy Boys Play: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s performance of Twelve Angry Men. Final show is today, December 8th at 2:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center.
December 8th Consecration to Our Lady: We will have Vespers and Benediction today at 5:30 PM with total Consecration to Mary according to the method of St. Louis Grignon de Montfort and Militia Immaculatae.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast: There will be a celebration in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, December 12th with Vespers at 5:30 PM followed by an evening procession off campus to the Sursum Corda House and a dessert reception back at OLS.
Third Order Spiritual Conference will be held Saturday, December 14th at 9:30 AM in the Church. All parishioners who are members of a Third Order (SSPX, Dominican, Franciscan, Benedictine, Carmelite) are encouraged to attend.
Second Collection schedule: December 15th for the Consoling Sisters Foundation. Thank you for your generosity.
Academy Christmas performance is Thursday, December 19th at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. All parishioners are invited to attend.
Archery Raffle & Tournament: The OLOS Archery Club will host its first outdoor tournament here on January 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. All are encouraged to come watch a real tournament competition. Please help support the Archery Program by buying a raffle ticket for the chance to win a complete archery set. Visit the archery tent outside church after Sunday Masses for further details and to purchase your raffle tickets.
Volleyball Tournament: Our Lady of Sorrows is hosting its 4th Annual Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, March 8, 2025, with both men’s and women’s divisions. Players must be at least 14. Christmas Decorating: Decorating the church for Christmas will take place Sunday, December 22nd from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, followed by Vespers in the Church. Dinner will be provided at 5:30 PM in Boyle Hall. Please join us for this family-friendly event and bring a dessert or drink to share. Many hands make light (and enjoyable!) work.
Christmas Novena of Masses: Christmas cards with the gift of a novena of Masses are available in the vestibule. Donations will benefit the building fund and may be turned into the church office, bookstore or placed in the collection basket. The novena of Masses will begin with the Christmas Midnight Mass. Deadline to turn in intention envelopes: Monday, December 23rd.
