Sexagesima Sunday
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, March 1st after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will gather in the front pews of Church for the First Saturday meditation and our prayers for the book intentions, then will go to Boyle Hall for our meeting and refreshments.
Shrove Tuesday Parish Event: Please join us on Tuesday, March 4th for a Holy Hour from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM, followed by dessert crepes and waffles, a bonfire, and socializing. Ash Wednesday, March 5th is a day of Fast (for those ages 18 - 60) and Abstinence (for those over age 7). Mass times will be at 5:45 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM. The 8:30 AM Academy Mass will be a High Mass. Ashes will be distributed at each Mass on Ash Wednesday and after each Mass on Sunday, March 9th for those not able to receive ashes on Ash Wednesday.
Parish Lenten Recollection: All parishioners are invited to a Lenten Recollection on Sunday, March 9th from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM.
Bookstore Items: A variety of new missal covers are now available to purchase in the bookstore.
Rosary Repair: The bookstore offers free rosary repair. Simply drop your rosary off in the bookstore with your name and phone number and your rosary will be repaired few of charge.
Kindergarten Enrollment: Parents interested in enrolling their kindergarten students at Our Lady of Sorrows Academy for 2025-2026 should email [email protected]. Visit https://ourladyofsorrows-academy.com/en for more information. Please note: children must be five years old by August 15th.
Volleyball Tournament: Our Lady of Sorrows is hosting its 4th Annual Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, March 8, 2025, with both men’s and women’s divisions. Players must be at least 14. Father-Son Bags Tournament: Please join the men and sons (ages 6+) of Our Lady of Sorrows for a Father-Son Bags Tournament sponsored by the Holy Name Society, on Saturday, March 29th at 9:00 AM on the field. This is a free event for fathers and sons to create a family team to compete against other families. Bring your own food and drinks for the event.
