Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Judy O’Maille, Br. Alphonsus’ mother, who died on January 25th. Fr. Pons will offer Gregorian Masses for Mrs. O’Maille. If you would like to contribute to the stipend for these Masses, please contact the church office.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Theresa Whittaker, who died on January 27, 2022. The funeral is anticipated to be sometime this week; details will be announced once finalized.
Bookstore: Purchase beeswax candles (votives and tapers) in the bookstore today, to be blessed on the Feast of the Purification (Candlemas), February 2nd.
Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Wednesday, February 2nd 8:30 AM Mass will be a Sung Mass, with the Blessing of Candles.
Holy Name Society meeting Wednesday, February 2nd at 6:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. McFarland will give a conference, with discussion and refreshments following. All men interested in learning more about the Holy Name Society are encouraged to attend.
All Day Adoration on Friday, February 4th begins after 8:30 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, February 5th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will meet in the Retreat Chapel to pray the Seven Sorrows devotions and prayers for the book intentions, followed by our meeting and refreshments in Boyle Hall.
8th Annual Parish Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, March 5th. Please clean out your closets now to be ready to drop off items February 28th through March 2nd. More information to follow.
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser: Trail Life Troop AZ-1571 invites all parishioners to the annual spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 6:30 PM in Boyle Hall. The evening will include Trailmen presentations, a 50/50 raffle, and the opportunity to sponsor much-needed Troop items. Dinner and raffle tickets are on sale after all Masses throughout January.
