Weekly Mass Schedule Change: Please note that the Tuesday and Thursday 5:45 AM Masses are cancelled for the summer and will resume when school begins again.
Holy Name Society meeting Wednesday, June 5th at 6:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center. All men of the parish are encouraged to attend.
Sung Mass on Friday, June 7th at 8:30 AM for the Feast of the Sacred Heart.
All Day Adoration on Friday, June 7th begins after 8:30 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, June 8th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will meet in the Retreat Chapel to pray the Seven Sorrows devotions and prayers for the book intentions, followed by our meeting and refreshments in Boyle Hall.
Third Order Spiritual Conference for June is cancelled.
Second Collection Schedule: June 9th to benefit the Building Fund; June 16th for the Consoling Sisters Foundation. Thank you for your generosity.
The Second Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Seok Joon Han of The Immaculata, St. Marys, KS and Miss Anne Jacenko of The Immaculata, St. Marys, KS, formerly of Our Lady of Sorrows, who plan to be married on June 15, 2024. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
STEM Open House: Please join us on Saturday, June 8th from 6:00 -9:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center for the first annual Our Lady of Sorrows Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Open House. Stop by any time during those hours to see the STEM lab, view student project demonstrations, and talk to STEM instructors. A presentation providing an overview of the STEM program will take place from 7:00 - 7:30 PM. Light refreshments will be provided.
Camp Rosebuds: Girls ages 7 – 12 years are invited to a day camp hosted by the Consoling Sisters, Thursday, July 18, 2024. Please contact the church office for more information and to register: 602-268-7673 or email: [email protected].
Poor & Needy Fund Donations: The church is often called on to assist with rent, utilities, and medical expenses for those in need. This year we have had a significant increase in requests for financial assistance. If you can contribute to this fund, please place your donation in an envelope marked “for the needy” in the collection basket or at the church office. Thank you for your generosity.
Mexico Pilgrimage: Registration brochures (found in the church vestibule) and final payment for the October 7-14, 2024 pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Cristero Saints from Mexico City to Guadalajara, Mexico are due June 27th.
