Second Sunday of Lent

Baby Bottle Fundraiser: Today we begin a fundraiser to support the Aid to Women Center, a Catholic, Pro-Life Pregnancy Center that provides medical care, counseling, education, resources, and material assistance to women in need. Please pick up one of their baby bottles after Mass, fill it with a check, cash or coins, and return it to their collection bassinette by March 30thPlease make checks payable to ‘Aid to Women Center’. A representative will be available to accept debit/credit card donations. Thank you for supporting this worthy organization!

Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, March 18th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.

Wednesday, March 19th 8:30 AM Mass will be a High Mass in honor of St. Joseph, with Vespers at 6:00 PM.

Third Order of St. Francis monthly meeting will take place Saturday, March 22nd in Boyle Hall. The meeting for all members will begin immediately following the 7:30 AM Mass, followed by instructions for new members. Cavaliers Baseball: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s home games this week, Monday, March 17th at 6:30 PM and Thursday, March 20th at 6:30 PM.

Fish Fridays:  Every Friday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM during Lent, fish tacos and fish & chips will be for sale in Boyle Hall. Proceeds will go towards tuition expenses for Our Lady of Sorrows seminarians. Thank you for your support and generosity!

Stations of the Cross will be at 6:00 PM on Fridays during Lent.

40 Days for Life Lenten Campaign is March 5 – April 13, 2025. Come protect mothers and children by praying and fasting for an end to abortion! Father-Son Bags Tournament: Please join the men and sons (ages 6+) of Our Lady of Sorrows for a Father-Son Bags Tournament sponsored by the Holy Name Society, on Saturday, March 29th at 9:00 AM on the field. This is a free event for fathers and sons to create a family team to compete against other families. Bring your own food and drinks for the event. Book Signing:  Former Our Lady of Sorrows parishioner (from 2008 – 2014) Rosemary McGuire Berry will be promoting and signing her newly released book ‘Piety and Personality: The Temperaments of the Saints’ on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Books can be purchased for a reduced price at the signing.

Camp Stella Matutina: Girls ages 13 – 18 years old are invited to attend camp this summer with the Consoling Sisters of the Sacred Heart, August 5 -14th at Mormon Lake, AZ. Please contact the office to register: [email protected] or 602-268-7673.

Easter Duty Reminder: All baptized Catholics of age are obliged to receive Holy Communion worthily at least once during Easter time, which runs from the First Sunday of Lent to Trinity Sunday.
