Fourth Sunday of Lent
Men’s Ignatian Retreat starts tomorrow. Please keep silence on the retreat grounds this week. Please keep the retreatants in your prayers.
Feast of St. Joseph, Saturday, March 19th: The 8:30 AM Mass will be a Sung Mass, and we will have Vespers at 6:00 PM.
Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, March 21st at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
Cavaliers Baseball: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s home game this week on Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:30 PM.
Stations of the Cross will be at 6:00 PM on Friday during Lent.
Movie Night: The Nunc Dimittis invites all parishioners to a parish movie night on March 25th at 5:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center, featuring “The Passion of the Christ.” Please note that this movie is rated ‘R’, so parental discretion is advised. The movie is free; snacks and beverages will be available to purchase. All donations benefit seminarians of the parish.
Confirmations: Bishop Tissier de Mallerais will administer Confirmation here at Our Lady of Sorrows on Friday, May 19, 2023. The ceremony will be in the evening. Specific details will be provided in the coming months. Any adult needing to be confirmed should contact Fr. Pons as soon as possible.
40 Days for Life Lenten campaign is February 22 – April 2, 2023. Come protect mothers and children by praying and fasting for an end to abortion! Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11:45 AM on April 9th. Please donate candy, small religious items, or plastic eggs (empty or filled). Donations can be placed in the baskets either in the church vestibule or the parish hall.
Church Cleaning Volunteers Needed: We are in need of additional church cleaners for several small, easy cleaning tasks. Please see the information on the bulletin board in the vestibule for the jobs needed to be filled and sign up if you are able to help. Thank you for your time!
