Third Sunday of Lent
Stations of the Cross will be at 6:00 PM on Friday during Lent.
Perpetual Adoration, Monday, March 8th starting after 8:30 AM Mass, ending with Benediction at 6:00 PM. Sign-up sheet is in vestibule. In 1989, the Society of St. Pius X started Perpetual Adoration in which the Blessed Sacrament remains exposed at some house of the Society throughout the world every day for the faithful to pray for the following intentions:
The return of Rome and the bishops to the traditional doctrine of the Church.
The sanctification of priests and candidates for the priesthood.
The awakening of priestly and religious vocations.
Baseball game: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s first home game of the season, Thursday, March 11th at 6:30 PM.
7th Annual Parish Yard Sale will be held this Saturday, March 13th from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Open to the public. Donated items can be dropped off in Boyle Hall. Proceeds benefit Our Lady of Sorrows Church and St. Vincent de Paul Charity Donations. Much help is needed, so if you are available to help sort or sell items, please text or call Rena Violette at 386-697-3804. Thank you!
Second Collection schedule: March 14th to benefit the Building Fund, March 21st to benefit the Academy. Thank you for your generosity.
Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, March 16th at 7:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. Pons will continue his talks on Womanhood, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
Young Adults Group: Movie Night, Saturday, March 20th at 6:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center, with discussion following.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be after the 10:00 AM Mass on April 4th. Please donate candy (no chocolate) or small religious items and plastic eggs. Donations can be placed in the baskets either in the vestibule or Boyle Hall. Any high school age girls of the parish who would like to help fill and sort the eggs on March 27th at 2:00 PM or to hide the eggs during the 10:00 AM Mass on Easter Sunday, please contact Grace McQuillin at 480-242-3052.
Academy Auction: Save the date for this year’s silent auction, to be held Sunday, April 18th on the church grounds from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We invite all parishioners to come socialize, bid on some fabulous items, enjoy light refreshments, and support our parish school. If you would like to make a donation to the auction, please contact the Academy office at 602-305-7183.
Academy Enrollment: Returning school families are asked to re-enroll for the 2021-2022 academic year using the FACTS family portal. All families who re-enroll by March 31st will receive a $50 tuition credit. New families are invited to enroll now for the 2021-2022 academic year.
