Third Sunday after Easter

Second Collection schedule: May 18th for the Consoling Sisters Foundation. Thank you for your generosity.

Floriani Concert: The Choristers of St. Florian, a children’s choir directed by Floriani, will present a Marian Oratorio  “Hymn to The Virgin” on Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 PM in the church. All are invited.

Holy Hour for Mothers: Please join us on Friday, May 16th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the church as we spend one hour with Our Lord praying for parish vocations and the intentions of our families. All mothers are welcome! 

Night out at the Diamondbacks: Come out Friday, May 16th at 6:30 PM to Chase Field to see the DBacks vs. CO Rockies, with post-game fireworks. Mass Schedule Change: On Sunday, May 18th we will have only two Masses (at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM) due to First Holy Communion.

First Holy Communion will take place during the 9:00 AM Mass on May 18th.  All communicants and their families are invited to a cake reception in Boyle Hall immediately following the Mass.

Alumni Baseball: Cavaliers baseball will be hosting their Second Annual Alumni Game, Tuesday, May 20th at 6:00 PM.  Contact Coach Violette ([email protected] or 386-697-3704) for more information, to see if you qualify as an alumnus, and to register to play in the game.

Easter Duty Reminder: All baptized Catholics of age are obliged to receive Holy Communion worthily at least once during Easter time, which runs from the First Sunday of Lent to Trinity Sunday (June 15th).

Archery Banquet:  To show our gratitude for the wonderful support received from the parish, the OLOS Archery Club will hold an end of year banquet on Saturday, May 31st. All parishioners are invited to a potluck dinner beginning at 5:00 PM in Boyle Hall. We will also have displays of our archery equipment and awards from the season. 

The Third Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Michael Wilson of Chandler, AZ, formerly of St. Isidore’s, Denver, CO and Miss Bridget Hable of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of St. Joseph Shrine, Detroit, MI, who plan to be married on May 24, 2025. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.

The First Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Alexander Philip Madrid of Maple Hill, KS and Miss Elizabeth Joan Short of St. Marys, KS, formerly of OLOS, who plan to be married on June 14, 2025, at The Immaculata. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.

Altar Flowers Donations: Donation envelopes for purchasing the flowers on the altar can be found in the vestibule. Each envelope is for one week, and lists the Feasts celebrated during that week. You may contribute any or all amount of the flower cost for that week. If interested, please take one envelope and return it to either the Sunday collection basket or to the church office. We are grateful for your generosity.
