Announcements

Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, May 28th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.

The Feast of Corpus Christi, Thursday, May 30th we will have Vespers at 6:00 PM followed by Benediction at 6:30 PM.

Academy Graduation Mass: Saturday, June 1st at 9:30 AM, followed by the graduation ceremony in the Performing Arts Center. All are invited. 

Solemnity of Corpus Christi, Sunday June 2nd we will celebrate with a procession to honor Our Lord. Mass is at 8:00 AM, followed by a procession led by the First Holy Communicants, Eucharistic Crusaders and Children of Mary, which will go off property to the Sursum Corda House for Benediction, then return to Church. Let us honor Our Lord by attending this visible profession of our Faith in the Blessed Sacrament and of Our Lord’s reign over society. All parishioners are invited to bring flower petals to distribute during the procession.

The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, June 8th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will meet in the Retreat Chapel to pray the Seven Sorrows devotions and prayers for the book intentions, followed by our meeting and refreshments in Boyle Hall.

The First Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Seok Joon Han of The Immaculata, St. Marys, KS and Miss Anne Jacenko of The Immaculata, St. Marys, KS, formerly of Our Lady of Sorrows, who plan to be married on June 15, 2024. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.

Heat Relief Drive: OLOS Theosis (Young Adult Group, ages 18-30) will be hosting a ‘heat relief item’ drive to support the homeless served by Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS).  Re-useable water bottles, bottled water, hats, sunscreen, etc. are needed to help preserve the lives of our homeless neighbors as the heat rises. Donations will be accepted in Boyle Hall on Sunday, June 2nd. Contact [email protected] with questions or if you would like to join the group.

Mexico Pilgrimage: Registration brochures for the October 7-14, 2024 pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Cristero Saints from Mexico City to Guadalajara, Mexico are in the vestibule. Fr. Pons will celebrate Mass and give spiritual talks daily. Enjoy SSPX fellowship and local culture while touring and praying in historical churches or at apparition and Cristero sites, learn church history from our special guest Mr. Alexander Becker, and more!
