Bookstore: All items in the bookstore are 20% off today only, November 24th. Stop by to see the many new items and gifts available for Christmas.

Total Consecration to Mary will take place on Sunday, December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Anyone wishing to formally consecrate themselves to the Blessed Mother on this day, according to the method of St. Maximilian Kolbe and the Militia Immaculatae, should begin a 13-day novena preparation beginning Monday, November 25th

Thursday, November 28th, Thanksgiving: All are encouraged to make a special effort to attend Mass to thank God for the graces we have received. Evening confessions and Benediction are cancelled due to the holiday.

Special Second Collection: The SSPX U.S. District annual collection for the Foreign Missions Program will be taken Sunday, December 1st. These funds help the various missions in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, South America, Mexico, and others to operate their apostolates. Thank you for your generosity.

Bookstore Hours: The bookstore will be open Saturday, November 30th from Noon – 2:00 PM as an additional shopping opportunity.

Medicare/Medicaid Information:  There will be an informational table outside church after all the Masses on Sunday, December 1st. Please stop by to learn more about Medicare and Medicaid, as well as to ask any questions of an insurance professional.

Christmas Boutique: The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Christmas boutique on December 1st and 8th. Proceeds benefit parishioners and families in need. We are asking for donations of Christmas crafts and gifts to sell. Donations can be turned in to the church office. Please contact Jessica Hefflinger (503-384-8516) to help. 

Christmas Bake Sale: The Ladies Auxiliary is requesting donations of baked goods to be sold at the Christmas Boutique. Please bring your items packaged and priced on either Sunday, December 1st or 8th. Thank you!

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Joseph Geier, who died on November 15thThe funeral will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 here at Our Lady of Sorrows. Visitation and rosary in the church at 9:45 AM, followed by a Requiem Mass at 10:30 AM and burial at 1:00 PM.

Bourbon & Cigar Tasting: All men are invited to join the Holy Name Society for a Bourbon & Cigar Tasting Event on Friday, December 6th at 7:00 PM on the lawn by the Pieta statue. Come enjoy a wonderful cigar and several different bourbons for just $20 per person. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.

Advent Recollection: All parishioners are invited to a morning Recollection on Saturday, December 7th. After the 8:30 AM Mass, there will be breakfast, followed by conferences, confessions, consultations, and ending with Sext at 12:15 PM.

Academy Boys Play: All parishioners are invited to the Academy’s performance of Twelve Angry Men. Shows will be Saturday, December 7th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, December 8th at 2:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center. 

Our Lady of Guadalupe Feast: There will be a celebration in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, December 12th with Vespers and an evening procession off campus followed by a dessert reception at OLS. 

Volleyball Tournament: Our Lady of Sorrows is hosting its 4th Annual Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, March 8, 2025, with both men’s and women’s divisions. Players must be at least 14.
