Twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost
On account of the recent scandals of the Amazon Synod in Rome, which promoted idolatry and attacked the holiness of the priesthood, the Superior General of the SSPX, Fr. Davide Pagliarani, is calling for reparation to be done. He asks that next Saturday, November 9, all the members of the SSPX, including the Third Order, observe a day of fast. He encourages all the faithful to participate and even children to offer some sacrifices for the intention of reparation. On Sunday, November 10, every priest of the SSPX will be saying a Mass of reparation and will recite the Litany of the Saints following these Masses. We will pray the Litany publicly after each Mass here at Our Lady of Sorrows. Please see sspx.org for the full text of Fr. Pagliariani's letter.
Mothers of Lu (prayer group for fostering parish vocations): All mothers are invited to meet at the communion rail after each Mass today. Prayer cards will be provided. Please offer your communion and rosary for vocations from our parish.
Homemade burritos, desserts and beverages will be for sale after both masses today. (Cash only please). Be sure to bring your appetite! Benefits the Academy Teachers Jog-A-Thon efforts.
Young Adults Group meeting today at 12:30pm in front of Boyle Hall, departing shortly after to hike South Mountain.
