Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
Holy Hour for Mothers: Please join us on Friday, October 21st from 10:00-11:00 AM in the church as we spend an hour with Our Lord praying for parish vocations and the intentions of our families. All mothers are welcome!
Medicare Insurance Presentation: On Saturday, October 22nd a representative from HealthMarkets Insurance will present “Medicare 101” to educate parishioners who are Medicare eligible, or soon to be eligible, about how Medicare works. He will discuss eligibility requirements, benefits, and pricing; there is no obligation to obtain insurance. The presentation will be in the Performing Arts Center at 10:00 AM. Breakfast will be served after the 8:30 AM Mass.
The Second Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Rhomel Horne of Phoenix, AZ and Miss Michelle Mule of Phoenix, AZ, who plan to be married on October 25, 2022. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
Movie Night: The Nunc Dimittis group will sponsor a parish movie night on the last Saturday of each month, beginning October 29th with “The Scarlet and the Black.” The movie begins at 5:00 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Pizza, popcorn, and beverages will be provided. Donations will benefit seminarians of the parish.
Mass Schedule Change: On Sunday, October 30th we will have only two Masses (at 8:00 AM and 11:30 AM) in honor of the Feast of Christ the King. An outdoor procession will begin around 9:30 AM.
Bookstore: A new supply of missal covers has arrived, and many other new items are available. Visit the bookstore after Mass today.

All Saints Day: The Annual All Saints Day Party will take place Saturday, November 5th. Children are invited to dress as their favorite Saint, we will have Saint themed carnival games, food, and fun! Donations of candies and small religious prizes for the children can be placed in the bins in Boyle Hall. Volunteers (ages 13 and older) are needed to help with the games. Our Lady of Sorrows Academy will hold its 13th Annual Jog-A-Thon on Wednesday, November 23rd. Please consider sponsoring one of our Priests or Brothers with a per-lap pledge or a one-time donation. Christmas Boutique: The Ladies Auxiliary and Young Adult Group will hold a Christmas boutique on November 27th and December 4th. Proceeds benefit parishioners/families in need. We are asking for donations of Christmas crafts and gifts to sell. All donations can be turned in to the church office. For questions/details please contact Molly Forsythe (405-952-4001).
Christmas Giving Tree will be on display during the Christmas Boutique. The ornaments on this tree will list specific items needed by one of our parishioners, particularly at Christmas.
