The Second Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Adam Michael Maez of Tempe, AZ, formerly of Sts. Peter and Paul, Albuquerque, NM and Miss Joanna Bayolo of Tempe, AZ, formerly of St. Philomena’s, Miami, FL, who plan to be married on November 23, 2019. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
In honor of Christ the King, Sunday, October 27, 2019 we will have only one Mass at 9:00am with the procession starting at 10:30am, Benediction at outdoor Altar and returning to Our Lady of Sorrows. Let us make this event as significant as possible! Confessions from 7:00- 8:50am (2 priests). No confessions during Mass.

All Souls envelopes are in the vestibule to submit names of the faithful departed that you wish to be remembered at daily Mass throughout the month of November. Please include an offering; envelopes can be placed in the collection basket or turned in to the office. Deadline to submit: October 31, 2019.
Trail Life Registration due October 31. Registration for Troop AZ- 1571 is open until October 31. Please sign up to receive a registration text/email in the vestibule, or to express interest. Joining boys must be at least 5 years old by January 1. Initial registration is $26 per member, with additional fees contributing to the needs of our local troop. Adult volunteers are always needed and welcome.
All Saint’s Day party will be held on Saturday, November 2 starting at 3pm. Events include a saints’ costume contest, face painting, piñatas, games, food, tractor hay rides and more. Please put donations of candy in the basket in Boyle Hall. We need many volunteers to make this a success, sign up sheets are in Boyle Hall.
The Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Christmas boutique and display a Christmas Giving tree on December 1 and 8. The proceeds benefit families/parishioners in need. We are asking for donations of Christmas crafts, gifts and baked goods to sell. All donations can be turned in at the Church office. If you know someone who could benefit from the Christmas Giving tree contact Rochelle at the church office 602-268- 7673. Requests will remain confidential.
The Academy will be holding its tenth annual Jog-a-Thon on Wednesday, November 27th. The students and faculty are working to obtain donations and sponsors. Please consider sponsoring one of our Priests or Brothers. Information and forms can be found in the vestibule. You may also donate online at: https://jogathon.olosa.org.
