Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: All women of the parish are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. Fr. Pons will give a talk, we will discuss upcoming parish events, then will end with a social hour. Please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share.
Ember Days: Traditional days of fast and partial abstinence are Wednesday and Friday (complete abstinence), September 18th and 20th. This observance was originally instituted to encourage the faithful to pray and do penance for new priests. Please offer your prayers and sacrifices on these days that God may inspire more men to offer themselves for this holy ministry and for the perseverance of those already ordained.
Holy Hour for Mothers: Please join us on Friday, September 20th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the church as we spend one hour with Our Lord praying for parish vocations and the intentions of our families. All mothers are welcome!
Second Collection schedule: A special collection will be taken on September 29th for the SSPX Priests’ Training Program. Thank you for your generosity.
The Children of Mary sodality is now open to all parish 7th – 12th grade girls. The first meeting will be on Saturday, September 21st beginning with the 7:30 AM Mass, followed by an outing. All girls (new & returning) who wish to join and attend this meeting must email the Consoling Sisters at [email protected] no later than Wednesday, September 18th for further details and to register.

The First Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Zachary Bramble and Miss Lauren Webb, both of Tucson, AZ, who plan to be married on October 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Sorrows. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.
Altar Flowers Donations: Donation envelopes for purchasing the flowers on the altar can be found in the vestibule. Each envelope is for one week, and lists the Feasts celebrated during that week. You may contribute any or all amount of the flower cost for that week. If interested, please take one envelope and return it to either the Sunday collection basket or to the church office. We are grateful for your generosity.
All-Saints Day Party Fundraiser: Join us in selling $10 raffle tickets to friends, family, and coworkers, with the chance to win an Apple iPad. The top seller will receive a $100 gift card to OLOS bookstore, and there's a friendly competition between the Holy Name Society and Ladies Auxiliary for the most tickets sold! 2024 OLOS Bags Tournament: Men ages 16+ are invited to a Bags Tournament sponsored by the Holy Name Society on Saturday, November 9th at 9:00 AM. This is an all-day men's event including food, drinks, cigars, a cornhole tournament, and much more. All veterans, active military, and first responders play for free. Pre-registration for a two-man team is $100/team. Registration the day of the event for a two-man team is $130/team. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Visit the table after Mass to register (you do not need to pay to register).
