Ember Days: Traditional days of fast and partial abstinence are Wednesday, Friday (complete abstinence), and Saturday, September 22nd, 24th and 25th. This observance was originally instituted to encourage the faithful to pray and do penance for new priests. Please offer your prayers and sacrifices on these days that God may inspire more men to offer themselves for this holy ministry and for the perseverance of those already ordained.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of Vincent Barry, who died on September 8th. The Requiem Mass will be 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 22nd here at Our Lady of Sorrows.

Ladies Auxiliary: All women of the parish are graciously invited to join the Ladies Auxiliary for a year of priestly conferences, volunteer opportunities, and social hours. The first meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, September 21st at 7:00 PM in Boyle Hall. The evening will start with a conference on Womanhood by Fr. Pons, followed by a report on upcoming parish events and volunteer opportunities. The night will conclude with a social hour. Come alone or come with friends, and please bring a snack, dessert, or drink to share! (Nursing mothers are always welcome!)
40 Days for Life Fall campaign is September 22 - October 31, 2021. Come protect mothers and children by praying and fasting for an end to abortion!
