Holy Name Society meeting Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:30 PM in the Performing Arts Center. Fr. McFarland will give a conference, with discussion and refreshments following. All men of the parish are encouraged to attend.
All Day Adoration on Friday, October 4th begins after 8:30 AM Mass and ends with Rosary and Benediction at 5:45 PM. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. Please be sure all time slots are filled to give correct veneration to Our Lord. “Can you not watch one hour with Me?” First Friday Mass follows Benediction at 6:30 PM.
Franciscan Third Order: The Clothing and Profession ceremony for Third Order Franciscan members will take place on Friday, October 4th (the Feast of St. Francis) at 9:30 AM in the Retreat Chapel. The Third Order of St. Francis will also hold a membership drive on Sunday, October 6th, providing information to recruit new members.
The Simeon and Anna Sodality (Nunc Dimittis, 50 +) will meet Saturday, October 5th after the 8:30 AM Mass. We will meet in the Retreat Chapel to pray the Seven Sorrows devotions and prayers for the book intentions, followed by our meeting and refreshments in Boyle Hall.
Election Novena: Please join the SSPX U.S. District in praying a special novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the upcoming elections and the good of the United States, from October 7th – November 5th. Copies of the novena can be found in the church vestibule.
Theosis Social Event: Our Lady of Sorrows’ Young Adult Group, Theosis, will host an Ice-Skating Social on Saturday, October 12th at the AZ Ice Den Arcadia. This event is open to all unmarried adults ages 18-30. Please RSVP to Gina Gareau at 949-632-5096 by October 9th for further details and to reserve your spot.

The Third Banns of Marriage are announced for Mr. Zachary Bramble and Miss Lauren Webb, both of Tucson, AZ, who plan to be married on October 2, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows. Any persons knowing of any impediment to this union are obliged in conscience to notify the pastor as soon as possible.

Altar Flowers Donations: Donation envelopes for purchasing the flowers on the altar can be found in the vestibule. Each envelope is for one week, and lists the Feasts celebrated during that week. You may contribute any or all amount of the flower cost for that week. If interested, please take one envelope and return it to either the Sunday collection basket or to the church office. We are grateful for your generosity.
